The Bureau County Historical Society launched in January a living history project on the COVID-19 pandemic. Personal stories and reflections of members and friends of the Society are being collected which describe how they were, and still are, impacted by the pandemic in 2020-2021.

Are you willing to share your story? Send your submission to the BCHS where it will be assembled and archived to become a part of history for future generations. The BCHS is seeking perspectives from all ages: students, retirees, teachers, health-care workers, business owners, first responders and everyone in-between

Submissions are not limited in length and can be typed, neatly written, or sent in digital form. Subject matter can vary regarding personal reactions, day-to-day routines, and situations a person has and is being faced with during the pandemic. For more information, please contact David Gugerty, Curator, at the Bureau County Historical Society, 815-875-2184 or email: museum@bureaucountyhistoricalsociety.com.
