Valentine Victorian Tea

The Bureau County Historical Society will host a Valentine Victorian Tea at the historic Clark Norris House. Guests will be welcomed by Mrs. Norris, the owner of the Clark Norris House and her butler and will be treated to a traditional Victorian Tea with tiers of scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam, tea sandwiches, cookies, and cake as well as the finest of afternoon tea provided by Four and Twenty Café. Selections from the BCHS china collection will be used to serve this special tea.
Entertainment during the Valentines Victorian Tea will include piano selections played on the Norris Family piano. There will be a fashion show of afternoon tea hats provided by Julia Cain. Lessons on the etiquette of afternoon tea and its traditions will be presented. Each guest will receive a personalized place card and a copy of the Valentines Victorian Tea menu.
The cost of the Valentines Victorian Tea will be $20 per person to cover the cost of the special tea food items. Reservations will be limited to 34 guests and paid reservations can be made by contacting BCHS Curator, David Gugerty at 815 875-2184.
